Located 35 minutes by car from the city Tromso is Tromso Golf Course, the world's northern-most golf course, where for 76 days the summer sun is out for 24 hours a day. Stavanger Golf Club was founded in 1956 and one of Norway's oldest clubs. In august 2006, it was host to the Norwegian Championships.
